Sudan Art Archive aims to create a digital archive dedicated to preserving the artistic heritage produced by Sudanese artists. The project covers 50 years of artistic activity in Sudan, documenting artworks, artists, and art institutions that have been active for over half a century of Sudan's history (1975-2025).

Objectives

1. Creating a Comprehensive Digital Archive: The project aims to establish a digital archive covering 50 years of artistic activity in Sudan, documenting artworks, artists, and art institutions that have contributed to the evolution of the art scene.

2. Protecting Artistic Heritage: The project seeks to safeguard Sudan’s artistic heritage by comprehensively and systematically documenting it, thereby contributing to the preservation of the country’s cultural and historical identity.

3. Documenting Artistic Developments: The project aims to highlight the developments and innovations in Sudanese visual arts over the past 50 years, reflecting the creative spirit and artistic evolution in the country.

4. Promoting Cultural Awareness: The project seeks to raise awareness of Sudan’s artistic heritage and the role of art in enhancing the country’s cultural and historical identity by providing access to artistic information and encouraging interaction with it.

5. Addressing Political and Social Challenges: The project reflects a positive response to the challenges faced by artistic communities amid political and social changes, contributing to the stability of cultural and artistic endeavours in the country.

6. Assisting Artists in Archiving: The project aims to provide Sudanese artists with a clear and simplified methodology for effectively and systematically archiving their artworks, helping them preserve the history and legacy of their work.

7. Providing an Open Platform for All: The project aims to create a free, accessible website containing all documented Sudanese artworks from the past half-century, making them available for everyone to explore and appreciate the diversity of Sudanese art.

Search Artists, Artwork, or Book

  1. Under this agreement, I hereby grant permission to the Sudan Art Archive to utilize the information provided about me and my works for the purpose of documenting the history of Sudanese art. The Muse Multi Studios will retain this information and share it as part of its artistic archive online and in relevant publications.
  2. I acknowledge that The Muse Multi Studios and the Sudan Art Archive may include information about me and my artworks from online platforms as part of their digital archive. I hereby express my consent to The Muse Multi Studios to utilize publicly available information from the internet for this purpose.
  3. I affirm that I will not hold The Muse multi studios or the Sudan Art Archive accountable for any claims or disputes arising from the ownership or accuracy of the provided information.
