Biography

Randa Abdel-Muttalib Mohamed Yassin was born in Omdurman in 1976. She graduated from Sudan University of Science and Technology with a Master’s degree in Painting specialising in Children’s Illustrations. Randa participated in 37 solo and group exhibitions from 1996 to 2024. The latest participation was in a group exhibition titled Tales from Sudan at the Contemporary Image Collective, Cairo, in 2024. She has also participated in and supervised 13 specialized art workshops, including children’s art workshops. Randa won three gold medals in the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival competition and received an encouragement award in the Oka Children’s Book Competition for Uncle Saber, published by Tabarak Publishing House.
